The Advisory Board meeting of the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Application and Research Center of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) was held on Saturday, August 16, 2025. The activities carried out by the center were evaluated, and the goals and projects for the upcoming period were discussed.
The meeting, chaired by MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar and attended by Center Director Dr. Faculty Member İbrahim Öztürkçü, included distinguished members of our country's science, art, and culture world, such as board members Prof. (hc) Uğur Derman, Beşir Ayvazoğlu, Prof. Dr. Durmuş Günay, Mehmet Rüyan Soydan, Ramazan Minder, Vice Rector and also a member of the center's board Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy, and again a member of the center's board Dr. Faculty Member Hakan Acar.
Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar expressed that the valuable ideas shared in the advisory board would be guiding for the university, stating, “The appreciation of our esteemed professors for the work at our university honored us and also increased our responsibility.” Rector Dalgar emphasized that they would continue to work to transfer the ideas and legacy of Mehmet Akif Ersoy to future generations through both scientific and cultural studies.
After the advisory board meeting, participants had the opportunity to see the historical and cultural beauties of Burdur on-site. As part of the organized tours, Sagalassos Ancient City, İnsuyu Cave, Kibyra Ancient City, and Burdur city center were visited, showcasing the rich historical texture of the city.
